1. Do you "preach" in your public school assemblies?
No, I make very certain that I abide by the law which details the separation of church and state.
When school systems bring me in to speak to their students, it is in the capacity of an expert, not only in the area of professional illusions - but in the specified area of emphasis in our assemblies. My background as the Program Director of a nationally recognized drug rehabilitation center, and 15+ years of public speaking experience qualify me on a professional level to address the topics in question, without specific reference to my faith.
2. Why do you have two styles (standard and economy) for the same assembly?
We offer both the standard, and the economy style of assemblies because our experience suggests that there are different budget allocations for different schools. It is not our primary goal to make a lot of money by performing these assemblies... rather, our ultimate goal is to disseminate life-changing information to as many school-age children as possible. To achieve that goal, we are willing to work with virtually ANY budget... and we pride ourselves on the extremely low percentage of times when we're unable to afford to bring schools our assemblies!
3. I've never heard of Eric Reamer. How can I know if he's the right speaker for us?
Let's face it... assembly speakers are, "a dime a dozen" for the most part. Public school assemblies are an extremely competetive market, and the actual number of available times to bring in outside speakers is quite limited. You want to make the very best decision, and to get the most benefit for your budget dollars spent.
We want you to be so pleased with our assemblies, that you are motivated to develop a long-term relationship with Eric Reamer's Illustrated Illusions. To that end, it is our promise to deliver FAR MORE value to you, than you even expect! And we're so confident that we do exactly that, that we are the only assembly speakers to offer schools a 100% Satisfaction Guarantee... and we've done that for over 8 years! If you are not absolutely thrilled with Eric Reamer's public school assemblies, you do NOT owe us a penny!
And, you need not just take our word for it. We'll gladly supply you with a detailed list of schools in which Eric has spoken, and you may contact them privately for a candid review of Eric's assemblies. We can even give you specific breakdowns of age groups so that you can target whatever information you want, for any age-specific assembly!
4. How long do your assemblies run?
Typically, our assemblies run between 35 and 45 minutes. Sometimes, for High School assemblies, we have been asked to go a full hour. That is not a problem... we are happy to work within your schedule.
5. What is the "ideal" audience size?
Ideally, we would like to limit our audiences to between 400 and 500 students. In this way, Eric can develop a more, "intimate" and personal flavor to the assembly. However, we realize that in some instances, (usually for budgetary reasons) multiple assemblies are not possible. Again, that is not a problem. Eric has performed assemblies for 1,500+ students on several occasions.
6. What about Jr. High and High School? Are your assemblies appropriate for this age?
You bet! Eric specifically customizes each assembly to be age appropriate for every audience. In fact, the great majority of Eric's career has involved speaking for, and dealing with pre-teens and teenagers. Remember, allof Eric's assemblies are 100% satisfaction guaranteed... we are extremely motivated to make sure that our assemblies are relevant for every age group!
7. Why should we pay, "travel expenses"?
It is a fact that touring on a national basis, as Eric Reamer does, is an extremely expensive venture. There are many expenses involved in bringing a high-quality assembly, such as those Eric performs, to your school - regardless of where you are in the United States. Just food, gasoline and lodging alone can cost upwards of $200 a day, and Eric is on the road typically 25+ days, every month of the year.
We do not expect any one client to shoulder the entire burden of the total expenses necessary to get Eric to their location. And we do NOT charge inflated rates to each client, in order to "make a buck" through the expense portion of our compensation.
Rather, we fairly divide the total expense by the total number of stops along a given tour, and in that manner, minimize the overall expense to each client. Once that amount has been determined, we typically ask our clients to send us the expense amount (or 20% of the overall contract) ahead of time, in the form of a non-refundable retainer or deposit. The reason for that is simple - Eric Reamer is in great demand all across the country, and once you have chosen dates that are good for your schedule, Eric "locks them in" for you alone. Your retainer serves as good faith money that will cover Eric's up-front expenses, and in the rare event of a cancellation on your part, Eric will keep your retainer as severance pay to offset the loss of funds for that particular date. In the extremely rare instance of Eric being physically unable to fulfill his obligation to your school, of course, your entire retainer is returned immediately.
8. How can we get Eric to come with our tight budget?
Let's put it this way... if you WANT Eric to present his assemblies at your school, we'll make a way to make it happen! Eric is less concerned with the dollars and cents, than he is with the passion he has to share the messages he speaks on.
We offer several different options to assist schools that cannot afford to bring Eric's "standard" assemblies to their students. Among those, you can choose from deep discounts, economy packaging, creative financing, and even corporate sponsorship that will fully finance Eric's standard assembly! Call us toll-free at 877-GO-4-ERIC, and let us discuss the options with you. We'll even help secure sponsorship for you, so as to allow you the opportunity to have one of the highest quality assemblies available.
The topics that Eric addresses in his assemblies are SO IMPORTANT to the well-being of America's children, that we are very motivated to make it possible for your school to receive these assemblies, regardless of budgetary restraints.
9. How many schools have asked for their money back from your 100% Satisfaction Guarantee?
Not a single one! Eric has been presenting his public school assemblies all over the country for over 8 years. He has literally performed hundreds of shows, for more than half a million students, and almost 85% of the schools he's been in, have asked him to return the next year, to present his brand new assemblies!
10. What equipment does the school need to furnish?
In most cases... absolutely none. Eric Reamer's Illustrated Illusions comes fully equipped to present a large-scale assembly, comfortable in almost any venue setting. In some instances, Eric may require an extension cord or multiple plug outlet, but beyond that, we bring it all with us.
